There are currently two light options available for MetaAlti: FlexiLight M and StickyLight M, both with ten LEDs. What we recommend depends on a variety of factors and we are always glad to discuss individual cases if you e-mail or call us.
FlexiLight M
This is a flexible gooseneck light with ten LEDs designed primarily for open-face helmets, although some find it useful for closed-face as well.
Pros: the light stays in place when the visor is open (under canopy) for closed-face helmets; the housing can be bent into preferred shape; the only option for open-face helmets.
Cons: does not stay in place as easily as StickyLight M without some reinforcement; bulkier than a visor-mounted light.
StickyLight M
These flexible circuit boards that adhere to the visor of a closed-face helmet feature ten LEDs designed to be placed in the peripheral of a jumper’s right eye.
Pros: is always in the exact same location; great light coverage with minimal visual invasiveness (the light is about as wide as the frame of most glasses).
Cons: is not present when the visor is up under canopy; disposable and cannot be transferred to a different visor; important to get location exactly right when placing.
